Maple Chipotle "Campfire" Cornbread

TL;DR: Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients, then combine them. Fold in corn and pour batter into pan. Bake at 400F for 25 minutes.

4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, melted, plus more butter for greasing the pan
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup medium-or-coarse grind cornmeal
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 chipotle in adobo sauce, finely chopped
1 cup corn (fresh, canned, or frozen and thawed)
1 teaspoon adobo sauce (from the can of chipotles in adobo)
